Albuquerque
Project Area: 26,000 square feet
Complete Date: September 2008

The design aesthetic for the Farm Credit of New Mexico facility grew out of one big idea – a contemporary reflection of how a rural ranch complex may have grown from an original rough-and-tumble stone building that expanded through the years with ad hoc wings as the ranch prospered. The massing reflects that informal spreading of different component sizes and shapes with the exterior palette of materials inspired by the traditional farm and ranch house. The two-story lobby makes a grand, and warm, welcome to patrons. Wood paneling, custom lighting, stone flooring and a central fireplace greet all who enter. Although the finish elements are common to historical buildings, this new office is completely contemporary.
