After Hours Pediatrics |

|
Albuquerque As a clinic that sees patients from new-borns to teenagers, the facilities for After Hours Pediatrics used a variety of forms, colors and distinct materials, rather than creating “cute” or “kitsch”, to capture the children’s interest. Patterns in linoleum flooring mimic a stream that flows throughout the building, while a custom “sky ceiling” follows overhead. Composite resin panels with tree twigs replace windows in all the exam rooms to afford privacy and daylight at the same time. Lighting in the shapes of bugs, balloons and airplanes help to engage a child who may be visiting the building under less-than-happy circumstances. |
